In the summer of 2015, two long-time friends put their heads together and decided that God had not let them grow old for no reason. St. Paul says that it is the duty of older women in the church to teach the younger ones.

Ruth Crenshaw is a Christian wife, mother, and grandmother who has been an active part of both parish life and seminary life in support of her husband The Very Rev. Curtis I. Crenshaw, a former rector and retired academic dean of Cranmer Theological House. Ruth has been a speaker at multiple women’s retreats and conferences.

Dss. Teresa Johnson has been a Deaconess in the Reformed Episcopal Church (REC) since January 2003. She is an adjunct lecturer in the Deaconess program at Cranmer Theological House, and she manages websites for the REC Board of Foreign Missions, the REC Order of Deaconesses, and the Anglican Deaconess Association. She has a poetry blog (Angliverse.com).
